About Selangor

State of Selangor (also known as Negeri Selangor Darul Ehsan) is one of the state from 14 states which combined in formation of Malaysia Federation. It located at the middle of west coast of peninsular Malaysia and bordering with Perak state at north side, with Pahang state at east side, Negeri Sembilan state at south side and facing with Malacca straits and Indonesia sea border at west side. Within the east side of Titiwangsa Range, Selangor state can be divided into nine districts consistst of :

1. Sabak Bernam District
2. Hulu Selangor District

3. Kuala Selangor District

4. Gombak District

5. Klang District

6. Petaling District

7. Hulu Langat District

8. Kuala Langat District

9. Sepang District

In general, there are four main river arteries running inside the Selangor state which are Langat River Basin and Klang River Basin at the north and Bernam River Basin and Selangor River Basin at the south. Historically, this river basin is found to be the main factor in the building of early human settlement in the past mainly for purpose of agriculture and trading network. Nowadays, Selangor state is known as the most advance and modern state in comparison with other state with various industrial, commercial and government building is located within the state.To get into Selangor state, the network of road and highway is available inside the whole state and the public transportation is also easily available to reach such as buses and train. By using public transport, any person are able to reach any interesting place and visit any tourism attraction that lies inside the Selangor state as well.
